Since setting up her first studio space in the Exchange District more than 12 years ago, acclaimed jewelry designer Hilary Druxman has grown to love the area. Her enthusiasm for promoting the retail potential of the National Historic Site, and changes in her international design business, led to the natural progression of her current retail/atelier.
The inspiration for the gorgeously minimalist boutique was part function, part form. The goal: to create a relaxed atmosphere that incorporated a sleek showcase for her works, while preserving much of the building’s character. The premise of mixing the Exchange’s trademark historic charm with a modern aesthetic is echoed in Druxman’s latest collection. The spring/summer range introduces the perfect mix of nostalgia and modernism—pairing 4th century Roman coins with rough cut gemstones in modern arrangements.
