Elvis was on the stereo as guests munched on licorice cigars and Tootsie Rolls at the opening of the Costume Museum of Canada’s second exhibit this fall, The Fabulous ’50s, which examined the sometimes turbulent social changes of the era through the prism of the decade’s representative threads. Preceding this was the museum’s official grand opening in July, and following was the Swingin’ ’60s exhibit, which opened Nov. 8.
