A Production of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador
Nurse Myra Bennett arrived in Daniel's Harbour, Newfoundland in the
spring of 1921. She had signed on to work in the community for only two
years. She stayed for more than 50. Tempting Providence is a
simple and simply elegant tale that recounts the true story of a woman
who left her home in England for Newfoundland's remote Great Northern
Peninsula, to serve a community in great need - a courageous woman who
became known as the Florence Nightingale of the North, and a true
Newfoundland legend.
